NEW YORK: Walter Cronkite (left) and musician Skitch Henderson chat January 14 at the International Radio and Television Society's Newsmaker Luncheon in New York. Cronkite, 64, who has anchored the CBS Evening News on television since 1962, plans to leave his anchor desk in March. He is to be succeeded by Dan Rather. Cronkite plans to continue working for CBS on special projects as part of a reduced schedule.
