Dec. 15, 1987: George Santo Pietro and Vanna White. Tonight, the Los Angeles premiere of The Dead was held at the Academy. The Dead is the last film that John Huston directed before his death. The film stars John Huston's daughter, Anjelica, and the screenplay is written by his son, Tony Huston. Vanna White, the famed letter-turner on the TV show Wheel of Fortune, attended the premiere with her boyfriend, restaurant owner George Santo Pietro. George was the former boyfriend of actress Linda Evans. Vanna recently released her book Vanna Speaks.
