Telecast live on ABC TV, millions of viewers watched as hundreds of Hollywood's biggest stars arrived for the ceremonies. SOPHIA LOREN (presenter) arrived with sons EDUARDO, CARLO PONTI, JR., and their young girlfriends. Sophia was glamorous in black & white.
