Jackie Onassis

Jackie Onassis has not been to her ex-husband's grave on Scorpios in over five years—and then she literally cleaned out the island of valuable household effects. 'All she was interested in was the money,' says a bitter member of the Scorpios staff. Another senior staff member says, of her last visit in March, '76: 'It was as if the place was being cleaned out by an invading army. It is almost impossible to keep track of the valuables Jackie took with her. She was literally stripping the place.' Staff members say other members of the Onassis family visit the grave of Ari—but never Jackie, and they feel this is a sign of her being only interested in his money, not in him. Jackie still occasionally visits the grave of JFK, though not on the anniversary of his assassination, but never Ari's—even though it's clear she has the time and money to make the trip, and the island staff say she'd have no barriers to the visit from them.
