Model/actress Brooke Shields was the special guest of honor this evening at a fashion show at the Nishi-Noho restaurant in New York City. Brooke was modeling wedding gowns by Japanese designer Yumi Katsura. Katsura designs only wedding outfits, from bridal gowns to attendants' outfits.
Tonight, Yumi Katsura introduced her spring-summer '86 collection, with prices going all the way up to one million dollars for a wedding gown. Brooke has been busy this year with school, Princeton University, and her new line of denim clothing. She has also authored a book entitled "On Your Own", which is a guide for young girls. Brooke has recently been dating singer George Michael from the pop group Wham!
